A Mother's Day Card....

I had to wait to post this until I was sure my Mom got her card (she reads my blog - cool huh?).

I really like this saying - its by River City Rubber Works and it really sums up how I feel about motherhood. I worked somewhat difficult and stressful jobs when I was in "Corporate America", but for me - the Mom thing has been the most challenging job I've ever had. Some days I'm just not sure I do it very well, but I keep trying!

For this card, I cut vellum and cream cardstock the same size and stamped the saying on the right side of the vellum in Stazon black. Then I stamped the peony flower in gray on the left side of the cream card and colored it with prismcolor pencils. The peony is part of the Destination Asia set at Rubber Inspirations - I really like the images in this set.

I layered the vellum over the flower image and attached it with a ribbon through 2 punched holes. I matted the cream on some Bazzill green and then on some dark pink Bazzill Bling cardstock. Then mounted the whole thing on a cream card.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!
