Prismacolor markers???

I'm trying to learn to use my Prismacolor alcohol based markers. The colors are intense! They take some getting used to. I'm also finding them a little tricky to blend. This is the best blend I've come up with so far.

I've had the most success by layering the same color to build up shading. For the leaves here, I also went over some areas with pink to give some shading. I'm still struggling with what I think are somewhat harsh transition lines.

So if anyone has any tips for me - I'd appreciate it.

These markers have potential, but I don't think I'll ever give up on my Prismacolor pencils. I really love those things.

Right now, the Copic markers are all the rage. They are similar but different. I may need to get a couple to try so I can compare.

I have the prismacolor markers too...Terry Maderis told us they could be used to create the same blending techniques that he teaches with the pencils...I can't do it nearly as well...I guess it takes practice.

I think your blending and shading looks great!!

You've done a very nice job with the blending and shading.

I too, have the markers and like them, though I wish that the broad side was a brush pen. I need more practice with mine as well.

I think you've done a wonderful job of blending. I have a couple of these markers...I love them...but I'm nowhere near as good as you are!
