A little story....

I have a little (very little) story - so I thought you might like a nice refreshing glass of lemonade first...

Cute stamps huh? The pitcher and glasses are from the new justjohanna release. I love the little ice cubes.

And the sentiment "have a yummy day" could be used with so many things - cake, cupcakes, chocolate, ice cream, strawberries, any kind of food really (well, except brussel sprouts - unless you're trying to be sarcastic. I'm not sure anyone makes a brussel sprout stamp...). I think it will be a great addition to my "collection".

Anyway - that's not the story....

My daughter L (one of the twins - 4 years old, but going on 30) is always asking If I'll make her a card. "Sure honey, as soon as I get a chance" I say. Well, life is busy and it seems I never get the chance. So this weekend she asked again and got my usual sure honey response. Well, about 15 minutes later she comes back in the room with a piece of paper with a multicolor crayon design all over it. "Maybe you can use this in the card you make me so its a little faster"

Ugghhh.... instantly stabbed with "Mommy guilt".

So I stopped what I was doing and made her this little shaker book.

It has about 5 pages accordion folded from cardstock. The cover is made from 4 inch coasters. All of the stamp images are from justjohanna. I always thought the tree would be perfect for a shaker - and I finally got to try it.

L drew birds and hearts (she is thrilled with her new found ability to draw hearts) inside the book and had her Dad write in a story so she can read it at night. Cute huh?

So the Pastor's wife didn't get the Birthday cards she ordered yet - but I think she'll understand.
Whew - sorry for the long post...
