Watercolor washes....

I am by no means an expert on watercolor, but I do like to pull it out and play with it sometimes.

I wrote a very basic tutorial on different ways to do watercolor washes for Blue Heaven, the E-zine that supports A Shade of Blue papercrafting forum.

This card is one of the samples from the tutorial. The wash was done on watercolor paper using reinkers. Then it was used to do paper piecing of the trees to make a little fall scene. The stamps are from The Angel Company.

This wash was done by stamping the image on very wet watercolor paper using a spectrum ink pad. Once it dried, I restamped the image with the same spectrum pad.

These stamps are all from justjohanna.

Thanks so much for stopping by....

These are great, love the simplicity and how the focus is the image.
