Still here... sort of....

I know I've not been a very good blogger lately. I've been working on a few projects. One I can't share quite yet (darn it - its taking FOREVER).

Another is a Valentine Card class that I might be asking for opinions on. I seem to be a bit um.... stuck.... creatively. Things in my head just refuse to appear on paper - hate it when that happens.

The last one has actually taken a fair bit of my attention lately. I've been pushing an effort to raise funds for a water well in Tanzania, Africa. I held a Christmas card class in Dec that raised about $600. (Thanks everyone!). My church is kicking off its fundraising Jan 27 and the local Elementary school has agreed to use the project for their annual MLK Observance Service Project. I'm very excited! We might make it to that $15,000 after all.

If you're at all curious about it - take a peak at this Utube video. Its well done, and not graphic. Water in Africa

The image here was taken from the WorldVision catalogue. (I just can't do a post without pictures, and since I made only DREK today, I'll use this feel good shot.)

I've also updated the list of justjohanna design team blogs. There are some very talented papercrafters there -so take a look if you're so inclined.

I also added a blog roll for my "Stamp'in Blog'in Sisters" (SBS). A little sisterhood group of stampers that blog that I met up with on Splitcoast Stampers. More great stamping blogs to stroll through.

I've also been tagged! By LadyDoc. But while the family was recovering with the flu, it looks like everyone else has been tagged. (Well, I was going to tag Julie, but I thought she might punch me. So I thought better - Hi Julie!). So how about I tell my 7 random facts - and if you haven't been tagged, .....well......you're it!

I have the same shoe size and am 1/4" shorter than Lori, one of my SBS. OK Lori - where do you buy your shoes?

About 2 decades ago, I used to make hand thrown pottery. (I mean thrown on a wheel - like the movie Ghost - only I never saw anyone who looked remotely like Patrick Swayze - my pottery instructor in collage was short and bald). I had a rather short lived business selling said pottery. Anyone want the 2 decade old wheel and kiln in my basement?

A 2 decade old kiln weighs about 600 lbs, and is very difficult to get into and out of a basement. It is equally difficult in Michigan, Delaware and two different locations on Pennsylvania. I know, I tried it.

We have two guinea pigs (Patches and Daisy). If you rattle a plastic grocery bag in the kitchen, they can hear it across the house and they start chirping (loudly) - hoping for parsley.

I usually learn things by just trying them out (somewhat randomly). This is not a good strategy for building web pages (or for skydiving I suspect).

I really love doing challenges -I just wish I had more time for them.

I have bluish grayish eyes (there is no point to this, I'm just trying to come up with 7 things).

So there are my 7 random facts - sorry you asked huh?

Hopefully stamping goes better tomorrow so I can post something.....
