Super Quick....
I just wanted to share close-ups of these super quick cards. Just a stamped sentiment and a little matting is all there is to them.
In both of these, I decided I wanted an aged look. My favorite way to do that is to use a stipple or duster brush with brown ink. Lay the piece you want to antique on a scrap paper and swipe the inked brush inward from off the edge of the paper towards the center. This makes the ink darker on the edge and light in the center.
My favorite ink for this is Ranger Distress ink in Vintage Photo. It stays wet a little longer and is easy to control and apply. With textured papers like Bazzill, the distress inks do a wonderful job of accenting the texture when you do this.
Both of these cards used the Warm Elegant Impressions Papercraft Kit and Inkadindado Nature and Floral stamp set. I just love the font!
Quick and easy!
Oh and I just wanted to share with you a new product in the store I'm very excited about. Fiskars has new border punches. They are very cool!
Threading Water creates a scalloped edge with a hole in the center (like eyelet lace). Leave it to Weaver creates a perfectly spaced edge that you can weave 3/8" ribbon in and out of. I can't wait to play with these!
