Its Tuesday, time once again for the Garden Party Challenge - where a magazine clipping pulled out of the inspiration shoe box is used as the basis for making a card.
Here is the clipping from last week ---->
I'm happy to say that Michelle played along! You can see her colorful card HERE. (and from the sound of her sick family - she could use some cheer, maybe stop by and leave a comment?).
Well - I got stuck on the pigs. So I went hunting through my stash for some pig stamps. I only had one (*shock*), and while cute, it was a stick figure - not really what I was going for.
So - I changed my pigs into cows! I've been dying to play some more with the new justjohanna cows anyway. I think they are so fun.
I used my Oh Baby Basic Grey to paper piece all the cows with a different pattern to try to mimic the pigs. Those cows have skinny legs! (Quickie Glue Pen to the rescue).
I added the justjohanna grass stamp and colored the grass kind of randomly with Copics. The sky is done with duster brushes in Ranger Distress ink in China Blue.
The background paper is Basic Grey also and I added some paper frills and a strip of ribbon.
Kind of a silly card - but the cows do make me smile.
So - here is next week's photo. Much more normal, but there is no one design element jumping out at me.
Hmmmm.... anyone want to play along?
