And in my case, Happy Father's Day. We are celebrating a day late because my Dad is coming in to town today.
So I thought I'd share the cards I made for DH and Dad.
Both of the cards use the Blue Plate Special paper kit from Paper Garden Projects. (for some reason the dark brown is photographing black).
This first one is for DH. All the images are by Odd Bird Planet (and I missed the Owl Week challenges - darn it!). Its colored with Copics. The patterned paper, cardstock and ribbon are from the paper kit.
I think I mentioned before that DH teases me that all he ever gets on cards are "leaves and bugs". So I have been on a quest this year to make guy cards without my usual leaves or dragonflies. For his Birthday - he got mushrooms (fungus?), now how about some owls (fowl?). We'll see....
This card is for my Dad (yes - I know - its leaves...). But I LOVE this cattail image! There are several variations in the store (leaves and fall corn). I love them all!
This image is also colored with Copics (love those markers!).
I colored the cattails a pretty dark brown and I did not want them to blend together - so I traced the stamp line with a white gel pen to make them stand out from each other.
Hope everyone had a great Father's Day - thanks so much for stopping by!
