SweetMissDaisy tossed out a little challenge on her blog to create a card using the same faux scallop layout as her card sample.Since she is a designer for Rosies Roadshow - I thought I'd used a Rosies stamp. I love Rosie's stuff - too cute. For some reason, whenever I read the Rosie sentiments - I "hear" them in the voice of Garrison Keller - the Prairie Home Companion guy. That dry, flat, serious voice. Not sure what that says about my psyche.
Anyway, since the image was so small, I had to alter the sketch somewhat. And in this case I used a My Sentiments Exactly sentiment because I don't have anything appropriate from Rosie.
I have mixed feelings about this card. I love the image and I love the "words" of the saying with the image - but the style of the sentiment does not really fit. It overwhelms the image. Hmmm... sounds like the perfect excuse to try again.
So here is a simple Fall Fluffles (Stampendous) that is pretty faithful to the sketch.
