Distressed Poppy

More Prismacolor marker practice! The flower is a tad brighter than I'd like but I have a limited color selection. Maybe time to invest (and I mean "invest") in a few more colors. I'm just trying to work out which I need.

The stamps in this card are from a company called Stamp Camp. I bought these and several other background stamps at a stamping convention in Michigan.

I used one of the background stamps on the yellow - its a textile stamp. I did not want it to be too dark, so I inked it with Vintage Photo distress ink and stamped it off on scrap before stamping on my cardstock. I also distressed the edges of all the pieces with a paper distresser and inked them with a stipple brush.

I've been trying to get back to my stamping roots a little lately and have not been using as much patterned paper. But I couldn't resist a little strip here. Its from Daisy D's.

I was going for a vintage sketch journal look. What do you think?

How pretty is this! Love the combination of the colors on the flower and the inking/distressing. Great look!
