Johanna from justjohanna sent each member of the design team a wooden bird and asked us all to create something with it.
I decided to make mine all pink and flower-y in honor of spring. I used some of the flower flourish stamps (flower garland wide and flower garland really wide) for the body, wing and tail of the bird - and colored them with Copics.
I used Flora Hugabundous for the flowers on the branch (they are paper pieced). The leaves are made from Paisley Heart, also paper pieced. I added the branch and a little dotted frame.
I mounted the whole thing on stiff chipboard and added a ribbon hanger - my little welcome spring sign.
All the paper is From the Basic Grey Blush collection - one of my favorites.
You should see the projects made by the other design team members. Its amazing what everyone came up with. You can check out their blogs through the links on my sidebar - well worth a look.
