Beaded Candles

I submitted this quick and easy project to Papercrafts Magazine and was lucky enough to have it published in their Paper Crafting with Kids special issue.

The project is so easy.

The images are stamped on vellum, colored on the back side and cut out.

Cut a piece of double sided adhesive to fit around the candle holder and adhere it. (I found it easiest to start in the middle and work around to the ends. The stiffer paperbacked adhesive sheets are easier to work with.)

Adhere the vellum image and roll the candle holder in microbeads until coated.

That's it - done! Just put a tea light inside.

My kids loved making these - I had little candles all over the place. They really look pretty lit.

For these candles, I used Frosty Friends from Great Impressions on one and Adenville from justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet on the other.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Friday everyone!

I love these. It is so nice to get great kids craft ideas. A couple of questions .. I am assuming the whole piece is put onto a pieces of double sided adhesive? Also how do the micro beads stay stuck on the adhesive? I think I may be misunderstanding a bit. Also I have never worked with the micro beads I am off to get some today. Thanks Tracy tjgritts@hotmail.com
