I pulled this week's inspiration from my "creativity pile"...... literally....
I should probably explain. I always wanted to make a beautiful creativity journal - full of clippings, ideas and sketches. Something really pretty that I could page through to be inspired....
Well, all I have is this messy, random pile of "stuff" in a shoe box. Sigh..... maybe some day it will be something.
So I reached in the box and pulled out this picture--->
I love the colors and the random pattern on the jacket. And I wanted to include the navy from the jeans.
So... this is what I ended up with.....
I used the Lizzie Anne Jolies Fleurs stamp set to create the whole thing.
I stamped the flower in navy blue and colored it with Copics. I added Crystal Ice Stickles to the center (because of the bling on the belt in the picture). I punched it with my circle punch and mounted it on my scalloped circle punch.
I randomly stamped the smaller images to make the background and added a double layered strip with faux white stitches to pull in some more white.
I trimmed the bottom front of the card with my cloud scissors and adhered a strip of blue inside so it shows at the bottom.
Just one tip to mention - with unmounted stamps, you can arrange smaller images on one block to create your own background stamp like I did for this card. Just test it first to make sure it all inks evenly. Usually, you need to use stamps from the same set or vendor so they are all the same height.
Thanks so much for visiting!!

You've got such great style and flair! Love the card!
What a fantastic card, love those colors and your inspiration
Great card. I love your idea of an inspiration journal. I just got a sketch book and I was trying to think of something to do with it (since I don't sketch, lol).
OMGosh, Cathy! What a brilliant idea! I love clothes and home decor/furniture catalogs - I should totally start clipping!
You did an awesome interpretation of that outfit, and as a serious denim fan, I love that you incorporated jeans into the card with the navy cardstock! And thanks so much for tip about creating your own BG stamp - fabulous! (Can you tell you've gotten me all excited?!?!?!? LOL!)
Hugs,
Catherine
I love the colors. So, so very cool. I need to go window shopping. I haven't done that in a looooong time!
Love the picture and LOOOOVE the card!!
Awesome---your card totally mimics the outfit! Love the colors; it looks so much like spring! (P.S. Would never have known it was faux stitching just by looking at it!)
A stunning card - I love the fresh colours (especially the green)...
Great inspiration... Thank you!

I just love this set.....and the color combo is fun too. You're making me want to go shopping! ;)
WOW!!!! The card is beautiful and I can really see how you went from the clothing picture to the card. Wish *I* could see things that way!
